Why does AutoMate launch the media player the first time?
In order for the media controls for a media app to become active, AutoMate is required to launch the media app first (if it's not already running). AutoMate hooks into the same mechanism that the lock screen uses to control media. So, just like the lock screen, a media app needs to be active and playing media before being able to control it outside of the media app.
