Can app specific media controls be added to the music screen, like playlists and thumbs up?
This is currently not possible. AutoMate uses generic media controls to be able to support a wide range of media players. This is similar to how Android's lock screen media controls work.
Generally speaking, whatever you can do from the lock screen to control media, you can do within AutoMate.
